The player assumes the position of Vice, who is on a mission to track down the winged monster responsible for his mother’s death. To accomplish this goal, he must first become a Jewel Summoner. Along the way, he will cross paths with several other jewel summoners, and a few will decide to accompany him on his journey. During a battle, each character can summon up to three different monsters and switch between them as needed. Each of the creatures is associated with a particular element. Two primary categories, light and dark, can be subdivided even more. The factor affects the confrontations that take place in a game of rock-paper-scissors. The game incorporates ad-hoc wireless connectivity, which allows players to battle each other or trade gems, and boasts more than one hundred different creatures.
