Mega Man – Powered Up

Dr. Light had an idea: he would develop a slew of valuable robots to assist him and others in making the world a better place. One of these robots, called “Mega,” aims to help Light with various jobs around the facility. One day, the villainous Dr. Wily attacks the lab, also turning all of the robots evil, except for Mega, and Dr. Light sends Mega to stop these robots, giving birth to Mega Man. Mega Man: Powered Up is a parody of the original Mega Man. There is an “Old Mode” in which the adventure is tackled just as it was in the past, except for a new function to save the game. The graphics are improved, but the level pattern remains unchanged from the original, with a few minor tweaks here and there. Then there’s “New Mode,” which includes the actual level themes and monsters, but the levels are enhanced with different hidden locations and elements that are generally inaccessible with Megaman alone. The player must fight the bosses before they become playable characters and can utilize their special powers to find everything in each level. The third level is the Challenge level, which includes 100 challenges, such as dispatching as many enemies as possible in a set amount of time, reaching a specific goal in a given period, and so on. Aside from the two primary game types, a level editor can be used to create the Megaman level of one’s dreams and play it or transmit it to the internet for other gamers to download and play.
