The first installment in the Call of Duty series to be released for the PlayStation Portable is titled “Roads to Victory.” Because it is based on the PS2 version of Call of Duty 3, many mission maps have been lifted from there and modified to include additional objectives and other alterations. There are 14 missions in the game, and you can choose to play as either a British commando, an American soldier, or a Canadian sniper. Your Roads to Victory will be varied depending on which character you choose to play, but the overarching goal is to clear France of Nazi occupation. You will be tasked with retaking bunkers, planting bombs, searching for documents, delivering them, and destroying enemy tanks with rocket launchers. There is also a miniature shooter game in which you can take out enemy aircraft using the rear gun of a bomber plane. In addition to the auto-aiming capability, there are four distinct control schemes. Three game types are available, including Deathmatch, King of the Hill, and Capture the Flag, and the game allows ad hoc multiplayer for anywhere from two to six people. The deal also comes with many unlockable extras to take advantage of.
