Ape Escape – On the Loose

It looks like there’s going to be a stir at the zoo! Specter, an albino monkey, got his claws on a Peak Point Helmet, which endowed him with extraordinary intelligence. Now, he has traveled through time with an army of intelligent apes to rewrite history and make monkeys the dominant species! It is up to you to jump around from one era to the next and get them all! Ape Escape: On the Loose is a reimagining of the original Ape Escape video game for the PlayStation. Spike, our hero, is tasked with returning in time and retrieving monkeys from the past using his time net. In addition, he will get new items, such as the Monkey Radar, Sky Flyer, Dash Hoop, and RC Car, all of which will assist him in approaching the more difficult primates. The creative usage of the game’s two Analog Sticks was a standout characteristic of the PC version. However, the PSP version lacks this capability. Consequently, the controls have been reorganized relative to the face buttons. The X button is used to jump, while the other three buttons can control the selected device. This is often done by holding down or rapidly pushing the button allocated to the gadget in question (this will vary depending on the widget). The game also includes a range of minigames that may be played by a single player or by many players simultaneously using wireless connectivity. These minigames can be unlocked by finding and collecting the “Specter Coins” buried throughout the game’s many levels. Snow Kidz Racing and Specter Boxing are two of the games that have been carried over from the original game. However, two new games may be unlocked: Ape Ping Pong and Jake Attacks.
