PSP game details

Viewtiful Joe – Red Hot Rumble

This game differs from earlier editions because it borrows gameplay from the Super Smash Bros. series. The game involves the primary heroes, Joe, Captain Blue, and Silvia, as well as many others, as well as a collection of villains fighting each other in a series of battles in a variety of locales, including a construction site, a warehouse, and a wrestling ring, to name a few. Captain Blue is preparing to film a new film, but he can’t decide who will play the lead character, so he organizes a tournament for the heroes to decide. The player controls one of three heroes as they battle various opponents, with each stage having its own set of objectives to achieve to progress. There is also a party mode that can accommodate up to four separate players in full-fledged combat. During combat, players can gather “VFX Orbs”; collecting enough will allow the player to use a VFX power on the opponent(s). The PSP port is nearly identical but with exclusive content, such as a single-player Trial Mode in which the player competes in a series of mini-games, the ability to play as Dante from the Devil May Cry series, and a game sharing feature that allows players to play wirelessly using Ad-Hoc and play certain stages using only one disc.
