The Sims 2: Castaway is a sequel to the Sims 2 universe. This time, the player assumes control of a Sim who has washed up on a deserted island and must help them survive and find a way home. The player must explore the island, collecting supplies and materials for food and shelter while searching for clues to aid them in returning home while attempting to survive the many obstacles dispersed across the island, including natural forces. Exploring and discovering treasures can also teach their Sims many valuable skills, such as building better shelters and preparing meals that their Sim can eat. Players can also construct their own Sim, much like in the previous versions, by changing everything from hair and skin color to height and weight. Except for the graphics and control system (the Wii uses the Wii controller, while the PSP and PS2 are nearly identical), the games are almost similar.
