It is set in a distant future when most of the Earth is covered by water, people live on the islands, and the main means of transport is aircraft. Now that the Earth has depleted its underground natural resources, humans must use new technology to power the refractors to survive and thrive. Those who seek for refractors and sell them are called Diggers. They make up an integral part of the modern population. But legend has it that there is a mysterious treasure called Mother Lode on Earth that contains a lot of refractors, and if being discovered, it can power the Earth forever. Coming to “Rockman Dash – Hagane no Boukenshin,” players will transform into Mega Man Volnutt – a “refractors” seeker – on the greatest treasure road of the time – Mother Lode. Along with the weapon is the “Mega Buster”, a cannon mounted directly on the left hand of Mega Man Volnutt. The player must fight and defeat the monsters, avoid pitfalls or even those Diggers who also want to look for other treasures. Although the character and landscape lines of the game are not really sharp and smooth, with 3D graphics and a rather attractive storyline, Rockman Dash – Hagane no Boukenshin is still a good choice for those who are passionate about the action-adventure genre, especially the fans of Mega Man.
