R-Type Tactics II – Operation Bitter Chocolate is a role-playing strategy game, the next version in the R-Type Tactics series was released in 2009. The game is an attractive story around aerial battles between support units, R-Type space defense, and Bydo enemy forces. Throughout the game, you will control a fleet of fighters or a support unit on one of three factions: Earth allied armed forces (EAAF), Bydo Empire or (human allies) Granzera Army (GZRA). The game consists of 58 levels with the structure at each level of the game remains the same as the usual shooting games when the battle units and battle targets will be in the opposite positions. At the same time, in the whole match, the player will not be allowed to change the direction to attack the opponent. This means that the player must choose a suitable attack direction from the beginning of the game to be able to win.
