The PSP version of MLB 2K8 is comparable to its platform relatives, with the same gameplay features adapted for the PSP, relying on the D-Pad to determine pitch placements and batter box spots rather than the analog for the 360, PS3, and PS2 versions. This version also includes game types such as Season mode, Franchise mode, GM mode, and the Home Run Derby. All major teams are present, as are the majority of the significant players, and the possibility to create a player. There are also online capabilities via Ad Hoc.
