This version differs from the ones available on the PS2 and PS3 consoles. This one does not contain the Life Mode like the PS2, but it does have a “Conquest Mode” where the player may earn money playing games, improving traits, and even team upgrades and buying stuff for their home city. The Life Mode was featured on the PS2. In addition, there is a mode called “Season Mode,” where users can change rosters and make trades for stronger players. There is also something called “Block Party,” which is a collection of several minigames such as “Playstation Skills Challenge,” “3-Point Shootout,” and even “Dodgeball.” In addition, players can compete against one another using Ad-hoc and a mode called “Pick Up Mode.” In this mode, a player can randomly choose from ten other players for a brief game versus the computer or a human opponent. In addition, it has brand new and improved animations, and it utilizes the voice acting skills of Kevin Calabro and Mark Jackson to create an original television broadcast.
