Steins Gate is a game adapted from the famous anime of the same name. Theme time and time travel are the main focus of the game. Players will play the role of Okabe Rintaro, the protagonist of Steins Gate. Although only 18 years old and a freshman at Tokyo Denki University, Okabe has a very peculiar personality, claiming to be a crazy scientist with the nickname Hōōin Kyōma. Follow Okabe Rintaro and his group of friends as they discover and develop technology that can help change the past. The concept of cause and effect is featured prominently in the game when the protagonist goes back to the past several times to find ways to change what happened in the future. Just like games adapted from other anime, there will be turning points in Steins; Gate where the player must make decisions that affect the next evolution of the story. At these critical points, Steins; Gate will use an “activated telephone” system. When a player receives a call from someone, they have the right to answer or ignore it. The received messages have special words underlined and highlighted in blue; the player can choose to reply to the message. Players can ignore most calls or messages, but there will still be times required to answer. Depending on the player’s choice, the plot will go in certain directions.
