With the release of Madden NFL 07, the Madden series makes its long-awaited comeback to the PSP. It is heavily based on the iteration from the previous year;n addition to the standard roster adjustments, it also boasts faster loading times and several brand-new features. The game incorporates several new control options introduced in the console versions, such as the Hit Stick (which can be toggled on the PSP by pressing the triangle button) and the Lead Blocker Control. The primary game modes are the same as they were the year before. They include “play now” quick games, wi-fi multiplayer, mini-camp, and franchise (which does not feature an Owner option or Storyline Central but does contain an exclusive Assistant Coach option). The connecting option for the PlayStation 2 now makes it possible to transfer full franchise seasons from the PlayStation Portable and the PlayStation 2. The minigame known as “End 2 End” is one of the new features. When using this mode, you need to hold the PSP vertically. As they get closer to the end zone, a group of defenders rushes out to try and bring down the runner. The player must react quickly by pressing the appropriate direction button to dodge the tackler as soon as they know the tackler’s direction. The ability to respond swiftly and execute a string of successful evasions each earns points. Obtaining good scores at this level will uncover music tracks as well as teams that were previously concealed.
