The circumstances of Killian von Rohcoff’s life have been demanding from the get-go, and they are about to become even more so. He forced himself to get over his hangover to make it to his graduation, only to find out that he came in second place to his archrival. Then, when he finally receives a lead on a job, it ends up having him robbed, and he comes dangerously close to losing his life… and that’s just the beginning. Killian and his newly acquired “acquaintances” will find themselves entangled in a far broader chain of events very soon, all revolving around an ancient relic known as the Wicked Stone. Crimson Gem Saga is a role-playing video game that utilizes a turn-based battle system and is a sequel to Astonishing Story. The overworld travel in this game takes place on an isometric plane. The turn-based gameplay includes minor action aspects, such as critical combo chains and an ambush system. These components are dispersed throughout the game. Individually, characters advance in level, but they all access the same shared pool of skill points to unlock new skill abilities and acquire new skill levels. Some of these new skill levels allow characters to perform combination attacks. Although a Korean business was responsible for developing the game, the fundamental gameplay is comparable to that of Japanese role-playing games (RPGs).
