Macross Ultimate Frontier is a fighting action game and a sequel to Macross Ace Frontier. This version has added two pilots with a controller and characters from Macross Zero, Macross Dynamite 7, and Super Dimensional Fortress Macross II: Lovers Again. With a large number of fighters, players are free to choose their favorite vehicle, some special fighters (such as Macross VF-X2 and Macross M3) can unlock when certain conditions are met. Macross Ultimate Frontier has three mechanics. Real Flight – the player controls the simulation of the aircraft direction; the automatic driving mode creates a more realistic feeling. Support – selects a third level character, who does not fight, but possesses many special abilities that can support teammates when fighting. Just like other games, there is Nyan-Nyan, an in-game store to buy some different support items by using Nyan points collected from missions or winning rewards. The game also supports wireless network players, allowing up to 4 players at once or coop two people in a match.
