The next game in the Valkyria Chronicles series is titled Valkyria Chronicles II. The game’s setting is two years after the conclusion of the Second European War. Even though the war has died down, rebel factions still need to be dealt with. These insurgent groups draw their support from several ethnic communities. The action takes place at the Lanseal Military Academy, and your character, Leon, is in charge of the group you belong to. It is up to you to motivate and plan the conflicts with the other students in your class. The game begins with practice sessions at school and competitions between different courses, but very quickly, everyone must participate in the struggle against the insurgent group. The gameplay is identical to the one in the first Valkyria Chronicles game. The game switches between a tactical top-view field, where you may choose which unit to advance, and a third-person perspective field. Following the selection of a team, you will engage in real-time combat from a third-person perspective with that unit until it runs out of stamina, utilizing a variety of attacks.
