The PSP version of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings differs from the PS2/Wii versions and the Nintendo DS version. The general plot is the same, as it takes place in 1939, just before World War II begins. Indiana Jones is looking for the Staff of Moses, even though it is not the primary mission until halfway through the game. It starts at a Mayan ruin with Charles Kingston leading Jones to the final resting place of the jade sphere, a Mayan astronomy handbook. Magnus Völler, another coworker, goes off alone and swiftly runs into difficulty. When the plot continues a few years later, Jones is in San Francisco; the sphere becomes a source of conflict.
